Grease - Years 5 and 6

Scenes from Grease to help with the mega-mix. Year 5 and 6 you may choose to dress in 'Grease Style' clothing using your costumes from the 50's dance last year or you may choose 80's style costumes based on your class dance.

Year 6B - Remember you need to have BLACK and/or WHITE under your Grease costume for your class performance to make sense.

Cool Instruments

Thank you to all of the students who have been bringing in instruments from home to play for their friends. We have seen some instruments from different cultural backgrounds and have heard about how these instruments have been collected as children travel to places around the world. Keep them coming!

The Rock'n 50's

Years 3-6 have been learning about music and dance in the 1950's. We studied how popular music has an impact on fashion, hair, make-up, hobbies, and even cars! From our research, we put together a 1950's dance to the Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers Megamix 'Swing the Mood'. Here are some photo's of our costumes.

Ocean: The John Butler Trio

This is the clip we watched of John Butler from an Australian band called the John Butler Trio playing a 12 string guitar. Incredible skill! The song is called 'Ocean'. There is a short introduction and then the song begins.
