Planning Our Performance - Years 3, 4, 5 and 6

After some long and very exciting discussions, it has been decided that we will have an 80's - early 90's theme for our performance this year. Children in stage 3 will also be involved in a 'Grease Mega-mix'. So start raiding your mum's wardrobe for brightly patterned clothes, shoulder pads, leg warmers and 'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' style pants because we are going back to the 80's. We will be choosing songs that made an impact at the time due to the message that the artist was trying to portray. The 80's was all about pop, rock, electronic music and hip-hop. There was great change happening across the globe in peoples attitudes and access to opportunities, and this is reflected in the music of the time. Think about the message that some of these artists were sending:
